This book has four critical essays written to elucidate the word and meaning as used by Sri Aurobindo. The translators usually go the easy way of using one word to replace 4-5 words used by Sri Aurobindo in his original writings viz., self, Self, soul psychic being, central being. Commonly all these are translated as “atma” in Kannada, which obliterates the original meaning.
